Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the 80th session of the Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary Council, attended by Seyedeh Zohreh Borqaei and a number of deputies and directors of the academic-religious institution, Borqaei highlighted the scientific and spiritual status of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (S), noting that she has rightly been called the "Karimeh of the Ahl al-Bayt" and that many scholarly, spiritual, and psychological problems of great scholars were resolved through recourse to her.
Offering condolences on the passing of Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, the head of Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary said it is hoped that seminaries will be able to fill the scholarly void left by such figures, noting that the departure of every source of emulation and prominent scholarly personality creates a gap in academic and seminary fields.
She described Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani as unparalleled in jurisprudential discussions, adding that she personally had the opportunity to benefit from his classes, discussions, and fatwas, particularly on Hajj issues, and found his insights on the philosophy of rulings and other topics highly valuable.
Borqaei stressed that Al-Zahra Seminary bears a major responsibility for training future scholarly forces, saying God has granted the institution the opportunity to train soldiers of Imam Mahdi (AJ) — a grave responsibility.
She also pointed to the implementation of a comprehensive multi-dimensional skills development plan for seminary students, saying those trained under the program will be able to play a role in Iran and globally, assume various responsibilities, and be effective in governance and guiding society.
In her closing remarks, Borqaei referred to the funeral procession of Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, saying the Iranian people hold deep belief, affection, and devotion toward religious authorities, and it is important that this bond manifest publicly to show that the religious connection between scholars and the people remains strong.
Report on Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary Activities During the Imposed War
Also at the session, Hojatoleslam Andisheh, director-general of Al-Zahra Seminary’s management department, presented a report on the institution's activities during the third imposed war.
He said Jamiat Al-Zahra organized its national and international engagement, particularly in Qom province, in three consecutive phases, drawing on staff and field capacities with a synergistic approach.
In the first 40-day period, effective faith-based and insight-driven mobilization was pursued to align with the Islamic nation and country through inter-institutional cooperation in Qom and across the country, provincial centers of Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary, and seminary student organizations, he said, adding that individual, family, and social engagement paths were defined for the institution's large community and the general public.
In the second 40-day period, civilizational orientations in international engagement were pursued with greater purpose, and existing capacities in this area were utilized, he added.
In the third 40-day period, "devising an epistemic, theological, and operational framework and discourse-building for the post-war era" was emphasized across various fields, forming an organized convergence with internal capacities and external institutions.
A report on the collection and documentation of Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary’s activities during the third imposed war was also presented.
Review of Employee Working Hours
In another part of the session, Engineer Haddadifam, deputy for human resources and support, addressed the working hours of executive bodies based on a government resolution.
Noting that Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary is an educational service center, he said the three seminary institutions — the brothers' and sisters' seminaries and Al-Zahra University — will announce the final decision on working hours through official channels after reaching a conclusion.
Haddadifam also outlined measures to compensate for reduced working hours and incentives for employees not subject to the reduction.
Performance Report of the Planning and Supervision Center
Dawood al-Mousavi, director-general of Jamiat Al-Zahra Seminary’s Planning and Supervision Center, presented a report on the center's achievements and major actions over the past five years.
He cited the drafting, approval-seeking, and implementation of the center's programs, participation in drafting the education and training system document for women's seminaries and pursuing its approval, identifying and prioritizing strategic issues and solving them, work in planning and budgeting, identifying, documenting, and improving organizational processes, organizational structure and statistics, and supervision and evaluation as among the center's most important actions over the past five years.
